Venture east of the Valley, deep into the Sonora Desert, along the Apache Trail. The Southwest and northern Mexico are the only places on earth where this lush desert exists. Visit Tortilla Flat, a former stage coach stop, which boasts a population of 6 people! There will be some browsing time here. Take a short walk into the desert where your guide will point out the desert plants.

We had a great time. Our tour guide Derek was fantastic, talked to the group about the history of the Apache Indians, the trail and the mountains. The Dolly steamboat part was very relaxing and beautiful. Lastly, the food at Tortilla Flats was spectacular.

The trip was fabulous. It was exactly as written in the description. Eric our guide was excellent. He is a native of Phoenix so he knew the area and told us a lot of extra little things. Everything was organized well and everything went just like clockwork.
