A must do in interior Alaska because of the beautiful nature and quality of the guides. We had a beautiful drive (in a bus made for dirt/icy roads) up to the Arctic circle from Fairbanks. The driver/guide/expert was very nice and knowledgeable about the area and answered all our questions. We were in very rural Alaska, but the food at the Yukon trading post for lunch and dinner was surprisingly good too! It was a high quality Asian noodle house! You should wear warm clothing!

Thank you bretste for joining us on your Arctic Circle Adventure. We appreciate you sharing your experience with others and labeling it a "Must do". We will share your positive feedback with the Yukon River Noodle House as well -- them being open this winter and serving those hot soups has really been a plus for our winter visitors. Thank you again for sharing and best wishes for a bright summer! Kathy

This tour is long. Prepare yourself. But, John used the time well by sharing funny stories, history lessons, videos, and frequent stops for stretching and photos. The stop at the Yukon River Camp was THE BEST FOOD we ate in Alaska! We were able to walk across the Yukon River, step foot on the ice road trucker highway (Dalton), and when we got to the Arctic Circle, John literally rolled out the red carpet and served up some warm drinks as we took photos. We extended the tour to include the Homestead Northern Lights tour, which meant we left John. It was a little disappointing because the lights were not visible and John was not around to entertain us. Also, if you stay in Joy, prepare yourself to use the out houses. Wow, and not in a good way. Overall, a great way to see a lot of Alaska and cross the Arctic Circle. Thanks, John for making a long day bearable.

Thank you SunseekerFoodie for joining John B on your Arctic Circle Adventure. We did have a day recently with 3 guides on the road to the Arctic Circle -- and all guides were John -- REALLY! Bearded John would be John B. We will be sure to share with him your review and appreciation of the experience. And, thank you for sharing with others about your day. Best wishes for a bright spring! We actually tried to cancel this tour but we were to late. The women that I spoke to on the phone was very helpful and tried finding us a tour that was more accommodating. Nothing was available. So we went through with it and I must say, it was one of the best things we did in Alaska. Nikki went above and beyond in giving us an amazing experience. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip. We even saw the Aurora Borealis and it was AMAZING!!
