First, I know my rating may seem harsh, but it is well deserved. I have never been so uncomfortable in my life. It is not worth the money at all. My sister and I went and we both agree it should be $20 a person, the price is ridiculous for a not very well crafted tour. Ok, down to the details. The driver cannot tell directions to where the check-in was, many people where very lost, and it was snowing. The driver had us walking around the block in circles then when you try calling the number, nobody answers! I called 4 times to no avail, how frustrating and cold. We are from Florida. From there, the tour guide insisted on differentiating what was a “white” neighborhood or a “black” neighborhood. As our group consisted of many African American women, this really struck a cord with everyone, as it was very unnecessary and uncomfortable. He also pointed out where “hippies and gays/lesbians took over.” What exactly is that supposed to mean? It was very derogatory. Dawn was very loose with his word choice, very unsavory. The tour wasn’t very well put together. The MLK site was closed due to the weather conditions and that made things worse. Cory, the driver really wanted to rush through things and was even very rude to Dawn. How unprofessional. Not a recommendation. May have been good in the past but as fallen off as far as Im concerned. Saw more houses than anything and honestly you can see big houses in all of Atlanta. Wish I didn’t spend the money!!! Proceed with caution.
