Middle Clear Creek is one of the greatest beginner rafting runs in the nation. With numerous rapids and historical significance, it is hard to deny the value. Although Clear Creek holds more rapids than most any other run in the US, the rapids of our Middle section are straight-forward and perfect for families with children or anyone else looking for something a bit easier. Rafters will also catch glimpses of Colorado's rich gold mining history and maybe even a miner or two as they splash down this unique stretch of whitewater.

Did the beginner with with daughter and we had a lot of fun. The staff were real nice, some of them total characters... great vibe from the group. Our guide was Carl and he was great! We love when guides know about the history, flora and fauna of the area, and he was full of info. Went past some cool gold mining artifacts and past the beautiful rock faces, which happened to have big horned ram on them. I also found them to be the best priced in the area. All the other places were launching from the same area on the river. Not sure why they would cost more. It was a great experience!

Downstream Rafting was the best ever! They had great equipment which was cleaned after each use, new PFDs, wet suits and splash jackets. Our guide, Luke, was not only highly experienced but also the perfect personality for us beginners. If you want to have a great time, do not book with any other company!

We had a blast! Tippy was very entertaining and took very good care of us through the entire trip. We would do it again in a heartbeat!
