Middle Clear Creek is one of the greatest beginner rafting runs in the nation. With numerous rapids and historical significance, it is hard to deny the value. Although Clear Creek holds more rapids than most any other run in the US, the rapids of our Middle section are straight-forward and perfect for families with children or anyone else looking for something a bit easier. Rafters will also catch glimpses of Colorado's rich gold mining history and maybe even a miner or two as they splash down this unique stretch of whitewater.

What an unbelievable experience! Our guide, Matt, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly throughout the trip. He took the time to interact with our 2 young boys and made the whole trip so memorable. He was full of information regarding the area. We will absolutely recommend Downstream Adventures to everyone traveling in the area.

Our instructor made us feel safe and comfortable the whole time, the gear and boat were clean and we could not ask for a better experience. We loved it!

This is a super fun, safe experience no matter what because the Downstream company is clearly top notch, but we were lucky enough to get Chaz as our guide, and he elevated the whole experience to the next level--partly because he's an excellent human, and partly because he took us "surfing" on one of the rapids, which is definitely not for the faint of heart and requires you to get a little technical, but it was the most memorable moment we've had rafting in a while. Seems like the company is selective about the guides they hire, so hopefully the other guides are Chaz-level too.
