Middle Clear Creek is one of the greatest beginner rafting runs in the nation. With numerous rapids and historical significance, it is hard to deny the value. Although Clear Creek holds more rapids than most any other run in the US, the rapids of our Middle section are straight-forward and perfect for families with children or anyone else looking for something a bit easier. Rafters will also catch glimpses of Colorado's rich gold mining history and maybe even a miner or two as they splash down this unique stretch of whitewater.

My family and another family rafted Clear Creek with the Downstream team and had a wonderful time. We had two boats with the young adults in one and the parents in the other. Both guides were exceptionally personable with lot's of local trivia and lore as we went down the river. They were also very safety conscious which made the experience more comfortable for the more timid. I highly recommend this activity and Downstream.

We had a blast rafting with Downstream Adventures! The beginner course had a number of Category 3 rapids and our guide JJ made sure we got up close and personal with all of them. We rented the water shoes and wetsuits and highly recommend the same - that water is cold! Great ride, kind people, and an all around awesome time.

My boyfriend and I had a blast rafting with our guide, Matt! He was nice and funny, and told us some interesting facts about the area throughout. The full body wet suit and splash jacket (like a rain jacket) were perfect and kept us warm from the cold water! We also rented booties to keep our shoes dry and our feet warm. We bought the pictures afterward, which turned out great!! The whole staff was friendly and helpful. I’d highly recommend Downstream Adventures for rafting, and I can’t wait to come back during our next trip!
