With wingspans that can reach more than 20 feet (6 meters) across, manta rays have no teeth or barb on the tail. Definitely a must do in Kona. We saw so many Manta Rays during the tour and they were very close to us. Sometimes there were 2-3 Manta Rays together. The tour guide also shared the videos (Not sure if this is a regular thing in the tour). Although I didn't realize that I can grab the rope under the lightening board so it was hard for me to hold in the water in the beginning. Overall it was an excellent tour. Will return to attend this tour if I visit Kona again.

We saw many manta rays and they came very close to us. Excellent tour guides. The boat ride out and back was beautiful as we got to see many stars.

Crew was fun and knowledgeable. Unfortunately our night we only saw a handful of manta rays. They are cool creatures but smaller than I expected, not the huge 10+ feet mantas. It was a bit rough on the water so several people on our boat who were scared snorkelers or swimmers had a hard time holding onto the raft and some got seasick. They fought the waves instead of relaxing and laying out flat to watch the mantas. An option for a few non snorkelers is to sit on top of the raft and look down. Worth the trip out but set your expectations of seeing smaller mantas rays, be prepared snorkelers and take Dramamine prior if you get seasick.

Aloha Sherie, so glad you got to see the manta rays! Sorry they were small manta rays but they are still pretty big compared to stig rays.Perhaps Big Bertha and Left were not there that night. It is our winter season and some nights it can get a bit bumpy out there. Thank you for the review
