Surf lessons require help from mother nature, because she supplies the waves. It is also an exercise activity and that is very exciting and fun.

The guide was 90 minutes late and called in a panic. He moved the meeting location to a beach that was incredibly rocky as compared to the advertised location. The guide started the lesson without the entire group, spent minimal time explaining and teaching before sending the group to the water. He then commenced to yell and scream, at one point grabbing the board of one of the participants, which knocked her into the water, hitting her head on the rocks. All three participants were bleeding, traumatized by the guide that was cursing at them by this point and he ended the lesson…. 30 minutes into the lesson and without one of the participants ever able to be included. He walked through the group of participants and our family, continuing to curse at how horrible they were and what a “disastrous” group they were. It is three days later and they are still dealing with deep cuts from the rocky beach, a headache from the fall and a complete disillusionment of surfing entirely. We do NOT recommend this guide. It was dangerous experience and he should be removed from the site entirely.

I do not recommend this surf lesson! This man was very nice when giving us a surf lesson but as we sat on the beach, we saw our same surf instructor named Brandon physically and verbally assault people at the surf break and make racist comments to everyone around him about someone he was unhappy with. Some of the other locals said that he has a bad reputation for violence so I would avoid this man at all costs! I feel bad for the person in the water that I thought might drown.
