Czego oczekiwać
1
17-milowa jazda
Nasza przygoda z Big Sur zaczyna się w Monterey w Kalifornii.
2
Park stanowy Pfeiffer Big Sur
Park stanowy Pfeiffer Big Sur to park stanowy w hrabstwie Monterey w Kalifornii, w pobliżu obszaru Big Sur na środkowym wybrzeżu stanu. Obejmuje około 1006 akrów ziemi. Park skupia się na rzece Big Sur. Został nazwany „mini Yosemite”. Wiadomo, że sekwoje żyją do 2200 lat.
3
4
Zatoka Partington
Mała, odległa zatoka i surowa plaża, do której prowadzi gruntowa ścieżka, drewniany most i tunel.
5
Park stanowy Garrapata
6
Stanowy park historyczny Point Sur
Będziemy kontynuować jazdę, podziwiając i poznając Point Sur i latarnię morską Point Sur.
7
Park stanowy Andrew Molera
Nasza trasa prowadzi następnie przez Park Stanowy Andrew Molera, kolejny cud natury tej jazdy. Dowiemy się też o literackiej sławie Big Sur.
8
9
Punkt widokowy Grimes Point
10
Widok na malowniczą plażę Seal
Nasza samodzielna przejażdżka zabierze nas do Seal Beach Overlook, gdzie -- zgadliście! - będziemy mogli zobaczyć wygrzewające się w słońcu foki.
11
Wodospady McWay
12
Most Big Creek
Następnie przejeżdżamy przez most Big Creek. Jest to długi na 589 stóp, otwarty spandrelowy, betonowy most łukowy łączący to malownicze, górzyste wybrzeże.
13
Punkt widokowy Big Creek Cove
Landels-Hill Big Creek Reserve to obszar lądowy sąsiadujący z potokiem i kalifornijskimi morskimi obszarami chronionymi o nazwie Big Creek State Marine Reserve i Big Creek State Conservation Area.
14
Park Stanowy Limekiln
17
Stacja latarni morskiej Piedras Blancas
Gdy przejeżdżamy obok latarni morskiej Piedras Blancas, będziemy mieli możliwość zatrzymania się i obejścia.
18
Punkt widokowy Elephant Seal
19
Zamek Hearsta
Jadąc przez San Simeon, będziemy mieli możliwość objazdu do zamku Hearst. Zaprojektowany przez Williama Randolpha Hearsta, potentata wydawniczego, został zbudowany w latach 1919-1947.
20
Nitt Witt Ridge
Ten z niebieską farbą i wszystkimi tarasami? To Nitt Witt Ridge, osobliwy punkt orientacyjny w Cambrii. **
21
Zatoka Morro
W końcu dotrzemy do Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo i Pismo Beach, gdzie kończy się ten odcinek naszej wycieczki PCH. Doświadczyłeś już piękna Big Sur!

The remaining months of the year, they mate, birth, molt, and rest onshore between trips.

40
Nitt Witt Ridge
The one with the blue paint and all the terraces? That’s Nitt Witt Ridge, a peculiar landmark here in Cambria. You might not be able to tell at first glance, but a lot of that house is built from trash. Seriously! It was built by an eccentric artist named Arthur Harold Beal who had an odd fascination with garbage. He actually worked as a garbage collector in the mid-1900s and used some of what he collected to build his home. There are beer cans, car rims, washer drums, you name it, built into the structure of the house. **

The guide needs to be updated to show the more recent closures on Hwy 1. Especially south of Monterey. Other than that, it is pretty good.

Good app but it should be stated that one should use earbuds as listening on speaker is not allowed. I tend to agree with them as this is nature at it's best and simply listening to the natural noise is amazing.
