This is an approximately 1.5 hour tour of Monument Valley with an experienced Navajo guide. Prepare to take in one of nature's greatest wonders of red and orange sandstone cliffs, mesas, and buttes towering high above the desert valley floor of Monument Valley. While on tour, our guide show you famous movie locales, such as the old famous westerns starring John Wayne, and a little Navajo cultural history and the geology of Monument Valley.

We had a great experience with Blackwater 2.5 hour Monument Valley tour. The guide was knowledgeable, pleasant and professional. He gave a lot of very interesting explanations about the valley and in general about Navajo people and their life. Even though we had unusual weather conditions (heavy snow in May, who would expect that?) he conducted the tour in best possible way and made it an unforgettable experience. And the price was pretty good too.

I strongly recommend Willie of Blackwater Tours. We took the day long tour through Monument Valley and Mystery Valley, and he was entertaining and knowledgeable. His prices were less than others, also.

We took a back country tour of Monument Valley with Blackwater Tours. Would highly recommend them. "Willie" our guide was a very knowledgeable, friendly person who gave us a very personalized, informative tour of the Valley and also of the Navajo people. Defintely take a guided tour when coming to Monument Valley as only the local Navajo guides go off the trails into the backcountry to see some of the most amazing parts of Monument Valley. We took the afternoon 2 1/2 hour tour and it was well worth it. Would definitely recommend Blackwater Tours to anyone.
