A friend and I booked the Blue Bee Cidery Tour and tasting for a fun afternoon in Richmond, and we had a fantastic time! Linda taught us some facts about the cider making process in the facility tour, and then led a tasting of about 8 different cider samples. My favorite was the blackberry ginger. We then sat outside and had grilled cheese sandwiches from Truckle (cheese shop) which is also in the building. I had their pimento and Virginia ham grilled cheese, and it was scrumptious. We get a lot of great pimento cheese here in North Carolina, but this was truly exceptional! We ended up sitting in the Blue Bee's outdoor seating area ( they have seating areas inside and out) for a couple of hours, enjoying the lovely ambience and music. All of the staff there was friendly and attentive. It's a beautiful location, and the cider and food was fantastic. Highly recommend!
