A friend and I booked the Blue Bee Cidery Tour and tasting for a fun afternoon in Richmond, and we had a fantastic time! Linda taught us some facts about the cider making process in the facility tour, and then led a tasting of about 8 different cider samples. My favorite was the blackberry ginger. We then sat outside and had grilled cheese sandwiches from Truckle (cheese shop) which is also in the building. I had their pimento and Virginia ham grilled cheese, and it was scrumptious. We get a lot of great pimento cheese here in North Carolina, but this was truly exceptional! We ended up sitting in the Blue Bee's outdoor seating area ( they have seating areas inside and out) for a couple of hours, enjoying the lovely ambience and music. All of the staff there was friendly and attentive. It's a beautiful location, and the cider and food was fantastic. Highly recommend!

We would return in a heartbeat after the experience at Blue Bee. Julia was an amazing tour guide through the cidery. Her wealth of knowledge, passion and joy was seen throughout the time at Blue Bee. She was able to help us connect what we saw during the tour with what we were tasting. This gem of a place is something to take in. If you don't have time for a tour I recommend making time for the cider and cheese shop.

Julia was an amazing tour guide with a wealth of information. She was passionate about Blue Bee Cider and willing to answer any questions we had. The cider tasting at the end of the tour gave us the chance to experience the results of various batches of cider, which tied in to the stories Julia shared. I would recommend visiting the cidery for either a tour or just the experience of their cider and cheese shop. Don't pass up this gem.
