The setup for the 737 is quite stunning and I enjoyed sitting in a cockpit but the truth is the simulator is very realistic which means you can’t pilot it if you don’t have experience. The co-pilot (the owner) or the autopilot do most of the piloting and the instruction is very fast and intense. Upon arrival I was asked earnestly if I was a pilot and that was kind of a sign. There are some more approachable experiences here. I would have liked to try the F-35 but I think that driving simulators would be cool. I’m not into video games but experiences like this seem worthwhile at least on paper. I just think people interested in the 737 should be warned it’s not for inexperienced people and they should consider alternative options.

That was intense! Thanks a million to Pete who really communicates well the challenges of flying an airliner. He is patient, but also keeps you on track as you try not to cause your hundred passengers to vomit uncontrollably for an hour. While there are screens in front of you, you will not be watching them much since, being an airliner, your head is really inside the cockpit, which Pete has spent 20yrs and a kings ransom to recreate in great detail. Force feedback from the yoke seemed realistic and gave you the sense of ‘presence’. Highly recommend trying it out if your in the Clearwater area.
