The walking tour at Bonaventure Cemetery was a great way to visit this place. You can drive through it on your own, but the walking tour guide offers so much more history and insight. Dawn was our guide and she seemed to enjoy being a tour guide. She did a great job of projecting her voice so our group of 20 or so people could hear. The flowers were beginning to bloom … we missed the peak by about a week. Do you know the difference in a graveyard and a cemetery? You likely will if Dawn is your guide. After the two hour walking tour, we KNEW that we learned so much more than if we had just driven through on our own. This is a beautiful cemetery and we recommend the Bonaventure Cemetery Tour that starts at the Bonaventure Cemetery gift shop.

We had am amazing experience! We are locals and loved being toured by another real bona-fided local! The 2 hour tour was a gentle pace, great detailed and invigorating stories. Loved it!
