I was expecting to go behind the falls. I researched this before I went, nowhere online did it say the caves walk was closed, and has been for a long time. Very disappointed, I was expecting to see behind the falls! I gave it 2 stars for being able to see the bridal falls up close and at the bottom. I did not have the guided tour.

The Walking tour puts you only a couple of feet from the huge cascading water near the bottom of the falls. You will definitely get a little wet, even wearing the ponchos provided by the tour staff, but the experience is well worth it.

Our walking tour was great. Nick was our guide and he was very knowledgeable about the history of the falls and Niagara State Park. He gave us plenty of opportunities for beautiful photo shots and time to take them. We loved the "Cave of the Winds" experience. It was an exciting way to begin our 5 day Niagara Falls trip. It was the only tour experience we took on the New York side of the falls and we felt it was really worthwhile.
