I would not recommend the Nightly Spirits Pub Crawl.
I attended with a large group and we rushed to get to the starting bar where we were essentially told to “drink for the next 30 minutes.” That was the best and most haunted of the three bars, and the only one we actually got a real ghost story about. The other two bars were underwhelming (an Irish pub where we sat in an isolated side room and another random dive bar). We got a couple of anecdotes about people having paranormal experiences there, and that was it. There was also a significant walking portion between bars two and three where we heard a few ghost stories, but not delivered in a spooky way. It was mostly a quick telling of a story, plus being told to try to capture paranormal activities on your camera. Our guide spent way too much time telling raunchy pirate jokes and giving details about their own personal life, and not enough time actually telling ghost or pirate stories.
I will also say that you are definitely pressured into leaving a 5 start review, probably explaining all of the glowing reviews. We were told to essentially not leave a critical review and that our guide would receive an incentive for every 5 star “and only 5 star, not 4 star, just 5 star” review on Google or TripAdvisor. We were also told multiple times that another guide that night was bought 6 shots by their tour group, and it definitely made us feel like we were being asked to buy our guide shots. It was just an awkward and unprofessional way to end an already not good tour.
I have done several ghost tours (some with a bar hopping aspect, too) in multiple cities and this was by far the worst one I have been on.
