Our driver Wendy was so pleasant and knowledgeable of Charleston history. He was fun and funny! Our only unpleasant experience was the lady at the desk. She was not very polite.

Billy, our guide, was amazing! Perfect amount of humor and history. So fun! Would definitely tour again and recommend to anyone. Horses were beautiful and knew their routes so well. Barn was neat to see and if needed the bathrooms available were super clean and nice.

Leo and Janice were GREAT! Janice is so knowledgeable about the area and a great orator! I was a little disappointed that we only saw a slice of the city and the way that is chosen… but I understand the need to balance horse traffic/congestion. Our coach was very clean & the ride was very comfortable! The history is magnificent! Thanks again janic & Leo!!!

Hello, we are sorry to hear you did not get to go on your desired route. You are correct the city’s tourism division assigns the routes to spread out the carriages through the historic district. We are the largest carriage industry in the country with possibly 28 carriages in the city at one time, so these regulations are necessary. The great part is frequent visitors can experience a different route as there are 9 different routes throughout the city. Thank you for choosing Old South Carriage Co.
