Julia was amazing-fun, friendly, knowledgable, and patient. For our first time in Chicago with a two day time budget, this was a perfect introduction! This tour checked many of our points-of-interest off the list. Being just us mid-week, Julia customized our day (allowing the boys to touch Lake Michigan and celebrating Daddy’s birthday with an “extra special” helmet). We were a little unsure of “city biking” with our “all-boy” twin 9 year olds, and our physique. Julia kept us safe, fed and entertained. It was almost as if the whole town welcomed the tour (wonderful biking culture), or they saw the twin tornados coming and stayed clear (right of way). The culture and food introduction worked great through lunch time. There were zipper-bike-fanny packs that held cell phones, wallets, sunscreen, sunglasses, hand sanitizer/wipes and water. You do not need your wallet! Having dragged the tornados uphill both ways for amazing waterfall hikes, they were thrilled with the biking and were often enthusiastically first to keep going. Finishing the tour right by Navy Pier around 2:00 pm fueled and ready to play, the boys cooled off in a nearby water park, before ending our first day enjoying the Navy Pier and a Riverwalk stroll back to the hotel.
