Clear Creek Canyon is unique in the quantity and quality of its rapids. It has more rapids than nearly any other commercially run stretch of whitewater in the nation. It is also free-flowing, meaning that the water levels change throughout the season, offering a variety of experiences. In addition to world-class rafting, it is also the home of the 1859 Gold Rush. Gold is still found in the creek by intrepid miners using pans and dredges. Guests will pass many sites of historical significance related to the Gold Rush while rafting on Clear Creek. Clear Creek is also conveniently located nearby Denver and other surrounding resorts, making it the perfect day-trip excursion.

Our group of 8 was guided by Kurt and Luke. We had a great time, and both guides were a lot of fun in addition to being very skilled at what they do. There was a big group from another company that started out before us and were all over the creek getting spun around and stuck everywhere. Kurt and Luke successfully guided us past them or we would have had a miserable time (and potentially dangerous) on the rapids. Really glad we picked Downstream Adventures and got matched up with Kurt and Luke.

Was an awesome experience! Our guide (Luke) was great, very professional and clearly knew his way around rafting! I do recommend people be in reasonable health, as this is no slow-go trip!!

A very thrilling raft trip! The best part of the trip was our guide Joe who was very informative and kept us very safe. What a beautiful canyon for the trip and everyone was so helpful!
