Just did a trip them a couple weeks ago and it was fantastic! I’ve rafted class 3-4+ rapids before with a family friend that was a guide. This was my first time paying a company so I wasn’t sure that the Intermediate ride would be all that challenging/exciting. Ohhhh it was!! It was my boyfriend’s first time rafting and he loved it. He said as a first timer he felt prepared and safe. The guides are thorough in their safety talks, answer any and all questions and concerns, and know what they are doing. If you aren’t in stellar shape, familiar with rafting, or a strong paddler stick with the intermediate trip initially. I promise you’ll love it. It’s been 10 years since I’ve been on a trip and I’m happy I didn’t jump on the advanced one. 😅
The section of river we were on was beautiful. The water was a little lower so the rafting was technical in some parts. I’ve never fallen out of the raft on a trip before until this time. That’s all part of the fun but it can be scary. Because of the safety talk I knew exactly what to do and got myself to safety. Our guide was able to come help me out pretty quick. Sam was our guide. He was a wealth of knowledge and a great time, as were all the other guides! If I’m ever in Colorado again, I will be back.
