My husband and I went on the dolphin excursion trip the afternoon of 10/11/13. It was a beautiful afternoon and we saw lots of dolphins. A couple of them chasing each under the boat! All of the staff members were friendly and they made the hour and 45 minute trip enjoyable. We used a Groupon (no problems) so it was a great deal. We will certainly go on another trip with Tropics Boat Tour the next time we're in Clearwater even without a Groupon!

About 9 years ago my family and I visited Clearwater Florida and decided to take a tour with tropics , then known as dolphin encounter . It went well but we didn't see any Dolphin's to no fault of the tour , it just happens sometimes. They gave us a card that had a life time guarantee to return anytime. Last week we were in Clearwater and I remembered the card in my wallet, I didn't think for a moment they would honor it but to my surprise the extremely helpful girl at the booth said no problem. The boat even waited a few minutes for us to gather up the family. I have to say the experience from the booth to the boat was excellent. This time we saw Dolphin's and it was amazing. I would definately recommend this tour line. Their customer service is second to none. They gave me the guarantee and I didn't have to ask for it. Cople of things that impressed me was the person in the booth offered the parking past for a nominal cost and the ability to purchase a all you can drink pass. She extremely helpful. They also had a talk with the kids for about 20 mins , not only did the kids like it but I have to say the grown ups did too. Be sure to try it, it is definately worth the price .

We did see dolphins, but the other things that were advertised did not happen. They did not talk about the houses on the tour or any interesting information about the area. It was a nice, relaxing boat ride with a little excitement when the dolphins arrived.
