I wrote a review several weeks ago, after my first visit, but I want to expound on what I previously wrote. Now that I am an annual member, I want to write a more thorough review because I have gotten to know the owners and most of the employees on a first name basis, and have become fairly well versed on the courses.
This place is FANTASTIC!!!!! Why? It is just plain fun! My husband and I thought Cocoa Beach Aerial Adventures (CBAA) would be a fun place when we first saw it, and we were right. It is definitely a place to have a lot fun, but it is more than that for us.
The owners are just lovely! Matt and Kelly built CBAA and live in the area. Matt is more extroverted with a joie de vivre that is full of energy for a business he obviously enjoys! Kelly is more introverted, the quieter of the couple, very kind and attentive to everyone’s needs. Both are very hands-on and will jump into the fray, when needed, to ensure their customers are having a safe, great time! The staff is equally fantastic! (I am not going to name them because invariably, I will miss someone or spell a name wrong.) They are knowledgeable, friendly, take their jobs seriously, watch out for everyone’s safety, and give guidance to help learn better techniques or just to have more fun. Of course, we are regulars now, so they know us, but from the very first day, every employee made us feel very safe and welcome!
Every course can be completed no matter your skill level or strength. Every course is different, with the exception that every one has the zip line. You will not be stuck because you run out of energy or cannot complete a section. If your purpose is to cut loose with family/friends and have a blast, you can make your adventure as easy, social, and fun as you want. If you like a challenge, take it up a notch. However, if you live locally, you can make it your workout! (We thought we were so clever using CBAA to workout, but there are annual members older than we are using CBAA as their gym, too. 🙃)
Why did we buy an annual membership? I am 55, my husband is 58, and we’ve been sitting around during COVID losing muscle! From our first visit, we enjoyed the multi-leveled complexity of CBAA. There are three different platforms, signifying three levels of difficulty, but inside those levels are additional levels of difficulty. The wonderful thing is, there are multiple ways to complete each course. On the first completion of a course, I like to chose a higher level of difficulty to work my muscles more, and then complete the same course a second time at lower the level of difficulty when my muscles are fatigued. In less than a month, I have felt my body get stronger, have completed more of the difficult portions of the courses, all while having a blast with my husband!
So, if you are visiting Cocoa Beach, I would highly recommend this at any age! If you live locally, I challenge you to try it just one time! I will be astonished if it doesn’t become your gym, too!
