The tour guide Bill didn’t use a mic system. So, it was pretty hard to hear him when walking or when he was turned away, which was often. His history knowledge was sub-par. It seemed he made up a lot of the info. Fortunately, he walked us by a lot marker signs that told the story. The walk was a lengthy one, so you definitely felt you got your monies worth.

Bil (with 1L) was a very knoledable guise. He lived in Beaufort mpst of his life and was an amazinbg source of the towns history. The tour was a bit lacking in the movie end of it. Yes he did point out who stayed in what homes while the movies were being filmed.Compared to other movies tours we have taken over the years , we have grown used to the guide showing pictures from scene of the movie at certain location to see how the location fit into the movie. But again, Bil knew the town well, was funny at times, and did not rush us through town.

Great town. Close to all kinds of water adventures. Hunting Island beach is AMAZING. Fantastic food wherever you go. Very safe for a woman alone. Great shopping!
