One of Orlando's newest family attractions, the Crayola Experience is located at the Florida Mall, an upscale shopping mall with more than 250 stores and eateries. Once you enter this colorful space, you are free to enjoy its 26 activities and attractions at your leisure. Discover the magic behind the crayon-creation process from the resident 'crayonologist' during a live demonstration. Make your own crayon by picking a color, naming it and wrapping it. Play and climb on the 2-story Color Playground. And if you need to reboot, stop by Café Crayola for a treat (own expense). Don’t leave without browsing the souvenirs in the Crayola store, or create your own a drip-art masterpiece by melting crayon wax onto a canvas for a more personalized gift.

My six year old loves art so this was the place for her and really enjoyed the different art stations and activities. My ten year old had fun but not as excited but again he is not into coloring and art. The price per ticket is high considering the adults require full price ticket to enter which is a waste of money in my opinion. The food prices were very high but you are at a mall so eat there instead.

The 4 and 7 yr old had fun here. We did many activities. The employees were friendly. Roof leak in the cafe area and floor was soaked and water dripping on you at the entrance to cafe, and only one person to cook and check you out(reason for 4 stars or i would have given this 5) We melted crayons into shapes, melted crayons to make art, had our pictures taken for a coloring sheet, watched a show about how crayons are made and a silly putty demonstration, played in gym area while employees supervised. They could make a crayon with their name on it. Great placed for a hot or rainy day. Check out Groupon for deals and they had a Senior price.

We visited Crayola with three kids, ages 11, 8, and 2, and all three had an awesome time. There's an incredible variety of things to do, ensuring that everyone was able to enjoy themselves. The space is clean and well-maintained, and I think the most amazing aspect of it is that it provides kids with an opportunity to try just about every product Crayola makes without charging their parents through the nose for the privilege of doing so. Each visitor gets tokens that can be redeemed for various Crayola souvenirs like a small package of crayons or a ball of clay (which I'd never have actually bought for my son, but we ALL had fun with it so consider me sold on it!). It's self-serving, of course, because they want you to buy their products, but they are far from stingy with the materials and everyone will leave with a big bag of souvenirs. My only quibbles with the place are that the snack bar is pretty subpar -- everything's either greasy and bland or packed with sugar (thankfully, you can eat lunch in the food court at the mall and come back) -- and we would have liked to get more photos with the crayon mascot, who showed up two times over the course of the day for about 20 minutes each time with no announcement. Bottom line, we could easily see ourselves coming back on our next visit to Orlando, especially if the weather doesn't cooperate with our park plans.
