Staff was great. Our original tour was cancelled due to the crew on our semiprivate houseboat getting COVID. We were only in the area for a few days, and Brandi worked hard to find us a different tour. It was their busiest week of the year, so this was a feat, and she even checked with their sister location and other operators to find us the best fit. We wound up going out with Captain Troy and Guide Derick on the third shift, which they only operate during the busiest times. This worked out well, because we were trying to avoid COVID, so having a semi-private tour in the late afternoon when King's Bay isn't crowed was nice. The manatees aren't as active then, but there was one girl that kept swimming under us and playing with my husband's feet. We also saw quite a few manatees that were sleeping on the bottom, and they come up every 10-15 minutes to breath, so we definitely got our money's worth. Captain Troy remembered everyone's name and called to us from the boat to tell us where to swim to to find the manatees. Guide Derick helped people with mask problems in the water, and was good enough to tow my husband around on his flippers after my husband panicked when his mask malfunctioned, so my husband was able to get a great manatee experience even though he didn't want to snorkel on his own. Derick accidently dropped his camera while helping another guest with her mask, but we were able to find it. Because he didn't get as many photos as he normally would, they comped everyone the pictures he did get. They provide all the snorkeling gear and wetsuits, and you can rent prescription masks, which is great, so you don't have to buy your own gear if you don't snorkel regularly. I do wish they had helped tighten the masks before we got in the water, but it's understandable since COVID. It was a great trip, and if I ever go to Florida again, I would definitely do it again.
