We took this tour on December 30th, 2024. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We were a bit disappointed that the tour ended 40 minutes early at the cemetery. He did offer to answer any questions on the way back to the ferry terminal. We felt he could have talked about some of the other structures around the Dungeness Ruins. He also didn’t ask for ticket confirmation which was a bit odd if someone wanted to tagalong. For the money and your cut short by almost half the time, I’d recommend doing the audio tour the NPS offers on your phone.

We are sorry if this tour was not up to the highest standards that both you and we expect. We always check guests in by their names to ensure no one joins the tour who is not signed up, and we would never end the 2-hour tour early unless there is a general consensus from the group. If you return to Cumberland Island or St. Marys, we would like to offer you a discount on another tour to ensure that you are satisfied on your next visit.

What a fun time! The weather was absolutely awful when we got on the ferry. We were super unsure if we made the right decision. As we got off the ferry our tour guide Debbie was there waiting for us. She was so delightful and packed our brains with so much knowledge about the island and the people who lived there. Lots of fun and interesting tidbits to make it more relatable. We really enjoyed our time and it was all due to our wonderful Debbie! We both echoed that we wouldn't have had a good time just wandering the island without the tour. Thanks again!

Our guide was knowledgeable, approachable & witty very impressed, ty Debbie👍🏼 Cumberland Island is beautiful, grateful that the Nat’l Park Service is restoring it to it’s natural state & educating the public on respect for nature & history a gift that will keep on giving🎁
