It’s funny how this review does not have a travel type that says “Family (with seniors)” but options with children and teens. We traveled as a group of six with four elderlies (one needs walking aid). Instructions for pick up was provided ahead of time and was very clear. Tom was our guide and we really appreciate his knowledge (from vegetation to fishing to history and culture) and the willingness to share his own stories growing up in the area. He asked us what we wanted to do when we first met and took the reins to bring us to authentic places in Ketchikan. It was a very easy trip for the seniors in the group. Tom was also very accommodating with the time and the itinerary to suit our needs. With his connections to the community, we were privileged to visit some of the best spots in Ketchikan. We were able to observe eagles, bears, seals and salmon on our trip. We learned about the stories of the totem and the uses of the plants along the road. Too bad our cruise ship was there late and for just a short time… we were unable to walk around town by the port much as all the shops were closed. Overall, it’s a trip that we all enjoyed.
