Just WOW! This was a wonderful experience 😊 the trip itself was gorgeous. Our guide was Pete, he was phenomenal! The level of knowledge with obvious love he has for the people and the history combined with humor made this unforgettable it’s a MUST DO while visiting HHI!!!!!!

Captain Doreen, was amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure that the tour was amazing. She was very well versed in the history Daufuskie and made it very interesting. Not only did we learn a lot we had a great time on the boat trip over and back.

We went on this tour with a party of 8. Captain Pete was great! However, when we arrived a group of islanders told captain Pete to leave because the police were on their way to arrest a gang of people. For what, I’m not sure. It was unsettling to say the least. Captain Pete disregarded their warning and continued the tour. The golf carts had a strong odor of gas, the paths were sand, and it was extremely hot that day. Breathing dust, odor of gas in the heat was not enjoyable. The golf cart battery died and we waited 45 mins for another cart. During our time there, we didn’t see anything regarding the warning from the islanders. At the end it started to rain. The boat does not provide shelter from the elements. We had three children with us and they were bored. This tour is appropriate for adults or anyone who enjoys history. Captain Pete was wonderful, he was knowledgeable and made the tour interesting. I think we just had bad luck, or the Boo Hag struck our tour😆
