My husband and I are "active" seniors, and decided a zipline was something we had missed out on, but it's never too late! We eagerly walked into the Denali Zipline office in Talkeetna with two other couples from our cruise, got fitted into our harnesses, and were placed in the care of two trainers (wish I could remember their names) who assured us that our safety and comfort were the top priority. They enthusiastically coached us, made sure we understood, and away we went through the treetops of a boreal forest, beginning with our first short zip (maybe 50 ft.), and ending - 6 zips later - triumphant with a 560 ft. zip over a pond. and big smiles all around! A huge thank you to DZT for making our adventure so much fun !!!

We walked into DZT without planning months ahead of time for this activity. They fit us in no problem. They were friendly and fun. We showed up the next day for our tour and were welcomed and had great conversation with the front staff while we waited to leave. Caroline and Jeremy were awesome! When we got to zip lining, yes we had a great group, but Jacob and Richard were hands down, the best guides we could ask for! They had us laughing the whole time, totally helping all in the group let go of any fears we had so we could truly appreciate the experience of zip lining! Denali ZipLine is a fantastic, friendly, tour who made safety a priority but allowed us to experience nature in a way few get the opportunity to do...oh, and they documented it all on film for us along the way! DZT has done an amazing job of creating a unique experience for locals and tourists. I've lived in Alaska 30+ years. When my 14 year old nephew came to visit, I used it as an opportunity to get up to Talkeetna and check out ziplining. WOW, were we glad we went. The guides gave us ample training and alleviated all fears of this new experience. I loved that they took photos but it's fun to bring your own camera along to get some of your own. I think my favorite part was standing on the tree platforms and enjoying the wild forest below. OK, zipping over lake at the end was pretty cool too. Well worth the money ~ since you get to travel on rope bridges, zip around while seeing some pretty spectacular scenery.
