“Vera Marie” raises the bar for fishing head boats “Party Boats”. She runs two fishing trips per day during the season and 1 trip per day during the off season when available. She is also excellent for corporate parties, holiday events, family reunions, weddings, bachelor/ette parties and more. The Vera Marie is a 70′ walk-around. She also has a Sun Deck, large Air-Conditioned salon and restrooms.

The crew were great and very helpful. The fishing positions were too close together and the lines would get tangled with other folks every time the boat moved. 4 hours of riding time, one hour of fishing time and the other hour was dealing with tangles or moving to another fishing area.

We are sorry to hear about your experience as this is not our typical feedback. The party boat trip does have more people onboard to justify the more economical price. We also have shared charters limited to 25 people if you want to try something with less people another time

Although I caught some big fish; they were out of season and had to be thrown back. The rest of the fish were small. I live in the Tampa area and I go deep sea fishing regularly. With this charter I caught maybe a third of the fish I normally catch at home (and I normally catch 30+) Also, I think we were shorted out time to fish longer in order to get back to port. The charter was from 6am to 1pm. We were back at the dock by 12pm. I think if you want to take the kids fishing I think there are plenty of charters that will gladly give you what you are paying for.

We never know what we will get as far as fish. Some days a lot of fish are caught and some days not as many. The laws about what can be kept are outside of our control. The party boat trips are advertised as 6-7 hours, so a 6am trip gets back anywhere between 12-1pm, depending on the conditions. Thank you for fishing with us and for your feedback.

Rough seas with wind, rain and high waves. 30 foot boats were cancelling their charters for the day. Safety wasn’t really a concern for me but comfort and fun are. First couple of stops for the boat were virtually unfishable. Had to hold onto the rail with one hand and the wind and rain were difficult as well. Numerous people got sick and many people did not even fish because of conditions. There were some fish caught however, I don’t think any red snappers of legal size were brought in. True party boat trip with over 50 people on board. I actually fished a semi-private charter earlier in week with 14 people on board. We caught more fish on that trip than this boat with over 50. First mates were okay. Had better. I took off a couple fish myself in order to get back fishing quicker. Caught 2 triggerfish, 2 mingos, 1 grunt. Typically will catch 10-15 fish on a charter like this. Also the boat left dock 10 mins late and arrived back about 10 mins early. Recommend try another charter.

We are sorry you did not enjoy your fishing trip. The captain uses his best judgement to decide to go on a trip or call it off and on this day it was determined to be safe to go. People get disappointed if the charter gets cancelled and most still like to go even if it's a bit rough as opposed to not at all. We never know what Mother Nature will give us as far as fish. Some charters they catch a lot and some not as much. Thank you for your feedback
