First off, they only allow you to carry your cell phone on the flight.
Nothing else. And it has to be secured around your neck in a lanyard/strap that they provide. All pockets must be emptied. No GoPro's, digital cameras or any other portable handheld recording devices of any kind allowed. Even if they're securely strapped to you. BUT, there are video cameras inside and outside of the chopper that record the entire flight, including pilot commentary. I did not know this ahead of time. Wish I did. Either I missed the info, or didn't see it documented anywhere, but it was never mentioned to me during the preflight briefing. I didn't learn of this until after we landed and went back to the main hangar. I'm a professional travel videographer and I have a 4K DJI Go portable stabilizer cam with a wrist strap and they said no way. I was worried I wouldn't be able to record the flight at all. And I don't prefer to take video with my cell phone. I use a stabilizer because it's super windy with the doors off. So my advice is, leave all your recording gadgets behind, even your cell phone, unless you wanna use it for still images. Just sit back and enjoy the entire thing and purchase the video afterwards ($60 for the video and a photo of you with the chopper). Totally worth it. I wish I knew it was being recorded ahead of time, hence only 4 stars. Otherwise the flight was awesome, chopper was safe and the pilot was amazing.
