Our tour gives an in-depth overview of the life of Dr. King Jr. from his formative years as a youth growing up on historic “Sweet Auburn” Ave, once called the richest Negro street in the world, to his impact as a leader in the Civil Rights Movement. Hear the stories that helped shape his character. You’ll gain insight into Atlanta’s history as well as other movers and shakers such as the city’s first Black Millionaire, on through the struggles of the Jim Crow era. Our guide is a long-time Atlanta resident who has worked for three former Atlanta Mayors including civil rights icon and former U.S. Ambassador. Andrew J. Young Jr.

Stephanie (our tour guide) was very nice and knew the history! She was very thorough! You can tell this is not just a job for her this is something that she takes pride in doing! Would definitely recommend this tour!!

Stephaine was punctual and very knowledgeable. It was storming and she was very patient and even went to pick up our passes to tour MLK home.
