eBike Rainforest Experience

After a 9 mile narrated van ride to the north end of Douglas Island and a short training session, guests start e-biking. After riding along the shoreline on a paved dedicated bike lane taking in fresh ocean breezes and stunning views of the largest national forest in America. The tour takes you on a short walk down an old growth Forrest path to a secluded beach offering amazing photo opportunities.

I did the electric bike tour in late May this year with my boyfriend and my parents. We were lucky to have a beautiful sunny day. Our guide, Lucas, was incredibly nice and great knowledge of glaciers, nature and forests. He had us sample a few herbs from the forest. He found some great spots for photo opportunity. The bikes are brand new and very comfortable. You can do as little or as much pedaling as you want. My parents are in their 60s and they had no trouble keeping up. The ride has nice views (especially of the Mendenhall Glacier) and the walk in the forest is enjoyable, with a salmon dip snack in the middle. I would've given the tour 5 stars for Lucas alone, but I wished we'd ride more, with some part off roads to get the most from the ebikes. For those looking for an easy tour with minimal physical efforts, this is for you!

Kate and Carli were excellent guides. The e-bike tour was a ton of fun. The guides even orchestrated a whale watching adventure. Great tour that was lots of good old fashion fun!

Jase & Kate were awesome. We didn’t know what to expect, they were easy to find, and made the experience easy. We parked the bikes halfway and then walked the rainforest trail. It was nicely balanced. Kate helped our family get some cool pics. Would highly recommend.
