Our family went out on the El Cat on a Friday morning and it was a great experience for everyone. We saw sea otters, harbor seals, sea lions, two types of pelicans and many other bird species. The captain and naturalist took our children’s ages into consideration and were great at explaining and pointing out things during our trip. The trip exceeded expectations and our daughter wanted to go back for another trip the next day!

The variety of aquatic wild life was amazing. Truly an educational experience in preservation. And, a respite from the frustrations of the current world environment. Wendy (pilot) and Wyeth (naturalist) are well informed about the current land use surrounding this fragile area. Numerous species of water fowl including white pelicans on our journey! All COVID-19 precautions in place. This is an electric driven boat so it is a quiet 1.5 hr journey. Moss Landing has many fishing boats and fresh sea food places. A most relaxing adventure.

Captain Wendy built a beautiful electric boat - perfect for comfortable, quiet, gas fume-free touring of the slough. She and her guide Wyatt were knowledgeable and friendly - we learned a lot and felt very well-taken-care-of. Saw so many otters! As well as seals, cormorants, herons, pelicans (a rare white one!) etc. Fun to watch the otters eat, play and groom their pups. Highly recommend this tour.
