We love escape rooms and especially ones with great theatrical buildup and effects. Scorched, and Brandon, our excellent experience guide, did not disappoint! Brandon was friendly and quick but thorough with legal and instructional details, and got us into the experience very smoothly. He clearly paid attention to what we were doing and celebrated enthusiastically with us when we escaped before time ran out. The setup is amazing- the story creates the feel of an abandoned, barren and creepy home, and the designers/craftsmen put excellent workmanship into the physical experience. We loved the journey through the house and the way we had to intuit and work out the clues. Pay attention to every detail! The music, sound effects, and smoke were very effective but not overwhelming, so much so that we really did feel like the main character was lurking and ready to “burn us out!” All said, we loved every single minute and left feeling that Brandon and the Outerlife creators really cared that we had a terrific escape experience. We can’t wait to come back and try the other rooms!

Had a great time. Brandon was an excellent game host. Highly recommend this escape room. When back in the area we will be back to try the other rooms. Scorched was quite challenging and was very entertaining.
