Our airboat guide, Hance(?) a young African American man was a great driver and guide, in fact I believe he said he was the youngest of the airboat drivers there. Naturally, you can't guarantee what you get to see on any nature trail, be it on land or water. We saw vultures, a wee bird, whose name escapes me, down at water level, and an alligator After the tour, about one hour long, we were funneled towards the alligator show, which I was a bit leery of since I don't approve generally of having animals doing shows, though in this case the young man doing it, an environmental student, was very informative and explained why you can't catch and releases with alligators. I felt that there could have been more information provided about the structure of the tour. I knew it was four hours long but was not informed how that broke down, like how long the drive was to get there, how long the airboat tour was and so on. Also, there was a restroom on the bus but it would have been helpful for the driver to say we're arriving very soon and when we get there there will be a rush to get on boats, where you will be for an hour, and you might not get a chance to go to restroom. In our case my wife almost did not make it what with usual long queues for women. Also, I was aiming to be there at pickup point for 10am as indicated but then on one of emails / Websites it said we don't leave till 10.15/10.30 so we almost missed the bus.

I couldn’t go on the tour because it was misrepresented. Before I booked, I was told I would be picked up at the port where I got off a cruise ship. When no one came, I called the local tour who said I had to go into Miami where I could be picked up at 10. When that tour came, they said they could only return me to that spot, not the airport not leaving me enough time to catch my 4 pm flight. I can’t get my wasted time back but I do expect a quick refund of $130.

Very good and interesting tour. Might be a good idea to advise people to wear long clothes as I got a nasty bite.
