NOTE: Please note that we are using two catamarans for this tour. We have the Wahine Koa (65 ft power catamaran) which can cater up to 140 passengers and the Kealoha (55 ft power catamaran) which can cater up to 60 passengers.

Sailed with Pink Sails for their Friday night firework cruise on Wahine Koa with Alexio, Seamus, and Kainoa (apologies for likely spelling their names wrong!!). Very fun and entertaining team, safe and comfortable cruise. Music was great, drinks were fantastic, and the overall evening was an amazing way to end our vacation.

The fireworks were great … however, we watched the fireworks at the harbor 2 years ago and they were just as amazing from land. My honest opinion is save your money and use it to buy a nice picnic spread and wine! What you can expect if you go: the crew pull out of dock just after the sun sets (would have been nice to leave 15 min earlier to watch the sun set while out to sea), then the boat circles around the harbor for the next hour or so to kill time and let people purchase booze (as they are Not included) before stopping the boat for the 10 minute firework show. Then a quick jaunt back to the dock while the crew announce via microphone that they would appreciate a 20% tip from all passengers (as if I haven’t already felt ripped off enough for paying $69 for the same view I could have got for free on land) . I’m not opposed to leaving generous tips for great service but this was hardly that…. Plus tips were already left to the bartenders during the hour of kill time. Overall it was just a so so experienced that I could have done without. Just my honest opinion.

While I often don't write reviews, it seems like I could help future travelers with this one. The crew was polite and official. The water and boat were choppy and yet enjoyable if you know what you're in for. The whole experience though felt like a frat party on a plain yacht. If that's your thing or family dynamic, then this is for you. However, my partner and I felt out of place and slightly put off. Key point, the firework display lasts less than 5 minutes! You could easily see them from the closest pier and save yourself the money. One of the non-working crew members took over the microphone and just spoke gibberish. Childish. To sum up, buyer beware, it's a fun experience but only if you are of college age.
