We booked our bike hire online the night before as Bay City Bike Hire had the most competative pricing in the Fisherman's Wharf area for the standard city bikes. We collected the bikes at 9am and it was a quick process and the staff were helpful. We were offered helmets at no additional cost and a map and lock were included. I thought that the 'cheap' bikes may have been heavy but they were not, the hills were easy to peddle up and the bikes were comfy. We biked from Fishermans Wharf, across the bridge to Sausalito then got the ferry back with the bikes. The ferry ticket is cheaper to purchase in Sausalito than adding it to the bike booking (which is an option). This activity is a definite must for everyone visiting San Francisco!

Such a fun, beautiful day. Easy to navigate the route, bikes were in a good shape. So many places to stop along the route for photos and views!

I rented a bike from this shop and had an amazing experience riding across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito. The bike was in great condition, easy to ride, and perfect for the journey. The staff was friendly and gave me helpful tips on the best route and ferry options for the return trip. The views along the way were absolutely stunning, and riding through Sausalito was a fantastic experience. I highly recommend this rental shop for anyone looking to explore the San Francisco Bay Area by bike. It was definitely one of the highlights of my trip!
