Przegląd

The Matanuska Glacier is the largest and most magnificent glacier in Alaska with road access. We will drive you to within about 1/2 mile of the face of the glacier, where we'll start our hike. We'll be hiking on the glacier for two to two and a half hours, and walk about 2 to 3 miles. There is little elevation change, and the hike difficulty is rated as moderate.

The glacier is about a two-hour drive from Anchorage. We will stop about half way there for a restroom break, where you will also have the opportunity to purchase coffee and whatever you'd like to have to eat while we're out. Bottled water is provided.

Ryan was excellent. Very amicable and knowledgeable. He gave us a good understanding of the history and geography of matanuska by the time we reached the glacier and accompanied us through the tour. The guide who took us around Lena was awesome as well. Everything was well organized and we got the best value out of tour. Highly recommend taking this tour with Ryan.

This was a great tour. Ryan and Ethan were both amazing hosts for the tour. Ryan took us to some amazing outlooks and gave us plenary of time to enjoy the views. The glazier was beautiful!! We had a great time. Highly recommend this tour and guide.

My husband and I took a tour today to Matanuska Glacier with Alaska Adventure Guides. Ryan and Chris were amazing. We are seniors and we were not very confident about taking this tour, but we both wanted to walk on a glacier once more and adding this tour on trip to Alaska was Great. The drive was very pleasant and informative. Ryan gave us a tour of Alaska while on a totally different tour. He was always looking for wildlife while driving and pulled over a few times so we could capture that special photo. Once we reached the glacier, Chris our guide on the glacier was great too. Describing the scenery is beyond words. Breathtaking views. Everyone should do this at least once. But the service.....that was what made this trip so great. I mentioned we are seniors, well we are couch potatoe seniors, so this trek was really pushing our comfort zones. But, both Ryan and Chris made this trip very enjoyable. Lending a hand when they saw us struggling (mostly me) and slowing down the pace to accommodate us, those simple kind acts made this so much more enjoyable. We will be recommending this tour to everyone we know traveling to Anchorage. Thank you for the wonderful memories!!
