Dexter is a font of information. He promptly picked the 2 of us up at our hotel at the designated time. There was no one else on the tour that day so we had him all to ourselves. He was willing to go with the flow and because there were only two of us, he added a couple of stops on the way. He laughed a joked with us.
Concord falls is beautiful. take some cash with you, preferably small bills because you will likely get suckered into paying a young teen male (I think I remember is name being Devon) to do jumps from the top of the waterfall. Plus there are souvenir shops right outside with little trinkets and spices to buy. I made the mistake of have nothing less than a $100EC bill on me, that ended up being an ordeal because almost no one around could break it. I found that to be the case in a lot of places by the way.
Next stop the nutmeg factory. they weren't currenlty processing so that tour was just meh. next after that was the Diamond Chocolate processing where they make Jouvay chocolate. Cool, but they were not also processing much there at the time. However, they have a small orchard adjacent that is very beautiful and part of the tour with things like chocoloate trees, nutmeg trees, turmeric, ginger and various other trees and plants growing. they let you sample the chocolate pod and raw processed nibs, and then their final finished product in various flavors.
next was the Antoine River Valley Rum Distillery- That place is cool as heck! they process and distill the old fashioned way. Beware, the rum is nasty because they only make one kind, 75% white rum straight from distillery to bottle, so don't expect your taste buds to be as wowed as your eyes and noggins.
Next stop Grand Etang- beautiful place, however, I would have liked a little more time to hike surrounding areas in the grand etang. however, I understand why there wasn't much time, there are only so many hours in the day. Oh well. still worth it. The lake is full of tilapia and koi. odd and non native, but cool none the less.
Overall, I'd recommend this tour highly!
