Rob did a great job of describing the impact of the battle on the residents of the small town of Gettysburg. He gave brief stories, pointed out where specific residents had gotten involved in caring for the wounded and was attentive to the need for shade for our group on a hot July day.

This being our first trip to Gettysburg we were hopeful to gain some general knowledge as well as “inside local”about the history of the area. Jerry (our guide) was engaging and knowledgeable! We could have listened to him all day! Appreciated the historical brief on what it was like for the various players (civilians and soldiers) intertwined with personal accounts! Great tour! THANKS JERRY!! (For the tour and your service!)

Learning about what the towns people went through during the battle brought battle to life for me. Rob was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The stories of individual people and what they did during the battle; their bravery was remarkable.
