This is a ~1 mile walk on the street behind the Courtyard Marriott downtown Gatlinburg, where you are often left on your own to ‘investigate’ and capture photos of buildings on your own. The tour starts from the parking lot of a pancake breakfast restaurant just there and ends there as well. The highlight of our tour was that we saw an actual wild bear (completely unrelated to the tour). The stories were fine i guess but the tour guide often lost my attention as I found them at times not too relevant and/or her story telling style not too engaging (on one occasion she read a letter story from a piece of paper). She kept referencing an ipad of “scary photos” that could easily be constructed with a computer. To be honest it was a B.S tour and totally not worth more than $5 per person (being very generous). Recommendation how to improve this tour: 1. pick a different, more spooky tour route (not the backstreet of a hotel and a parking lot); 2. Improve stories and/or story telling style of the guides; 3. Lose the gadgets....the gadgets make tour way more fake and literally stupid. 4. Have the tour guide and guest comply with the social distancing regulations and wear a face covering or at least ensure 6 feet apart (to the very least right now during the peak of the pandemic). We thought of not leaving this review since the proceeds go to a good cause (charity) but this tour was such a joke and so not worth the $25 per person plus the tip we left. (We left a $20 tip bc of the charity) i think most people don’t leave a bad review bc its for charity. Really a super boring tour.... god, wish i would have stayed in the hotel and watched Netflix on my laptop, ALSO, the guide and guests did not follow any social distancing guidelines: no face coverings, no 6 feet apart Hope it improves.

Wow. First, you make it sound like we walk around the parking lot and street behind the courtyard. We actually go to a number of locations with the courtyard being one. No we don't just hang out in the parking lot. We like hearing your opinions as long as they are fair. As for the pictures, sure I suppose any picture anyone has ever taken can now be faked. These aren't. in fact if you want to find out if a pic is fake heres a tip. Using photoshop or similar program zoom on a picture all the way to pixel level. in an untouched picture all the pixels will begin strait rows, if its been touched up or modified there will be sections that are not strait but jumbled around. If you have the right software you can do this yourself. How about you check it out first before you make accusations that are not true. We start in a parking lot because since Covid, we want to be outside the whole time where it is safer for everyone (we used to start in the lobby of a resort) As for masks and social distancing. We presume you are an adult capable of making decisions for yourself, we are not the covid police. Being outside it is much safer than an activity inside. We leave it optional for you to wear masks or spread out a bit if that makes you more comfortable. Our guides don't wear masks so they can be heard. Frankly If Covid and the risk being outside is that big a concern for you, IMHO, why are are you in Gatlenburg or Pigeon Forge? you should be at home sheltering in place, not walking the streets with many thousands of people. You don't like the "gadgets" ok, fair. But lots of people do like them and you are not forced to use them.

I recommend this to everyone!! Skeptics and believers! I loved the tour guide Ashley. I got to tell the stories of the other haunted places I’ve been to and some of my evidence i found with my friends. My dad enjoyed it too! Totally recommend it to people who love ghosts
