Gettysburg

Gettysburg
Travel back to three horrific days in 1863 that transformed a small idyllic town into a mass graveyard. Our popular “History and Haunts Tour” is family friendly and includes tales of historic and ongoing spectral activity as well as the forgotten history of this “No Mans Land” between the battle lines where civilians quivered in basements while bullets whizzed through their homes for days. Nearly every building still standing on this tour still vibrates from the AFTERMATH.

It was an interesting look at how the battle, wounded and dead soldiers impacted the town. And how the trauma of those events continue to impact the area. Ken was very knowledgeable.

Our tour guide was very informative, a good storyteller, and funny stuff! I love how she dressed up in period clothing and how she carried around a lantern. She told us things we had no idea about, which was awesome! We had a really great time and would definitely go again!

Ken was an entertaining guide. He was clearly passionate about Gettysburg history and his delivery of the stories about the town and events was quite enjoyable. We had spent the earlier part of our day exploring the battlefield, learning about the sequence of battle events from a military perspective and this tour was a good way of rounding out our day by giving us more insight into the civilian experience of the battle and what the aftermath was like. We very much enjoyed it!
