The shop allowed me to do it by myself as I was the only one on Sat afternoon. The staff were very friendly and nice. The ride from San Francisco was very windy on the bridge but it's a lot back on the way back. The bike is comfortable but more for leisure. Bike lanes are well-maintained. There are some serious bike riders on the way.

As SF locals, my girlfriend and I decided to play tourists for the weekend, and renting electric bikes from Blazing Saddles turned out to be a fantastic choice. I have never walked the Golden Gate Bridge, let alone biked across it, so it was an unforgettable experience. The electric bikes made the hills a breeze so I recommend them if you think you may have a challenge with that. A nice surprise, though, was their secret GPS-guided tour app – an absolute game-changer! I’d heard about the app a few weeks earlier during a GoCar tour, so when we rented the bikes, I asked the Blazing Saddles staff about it. Strangely, they had no idea what I was talking about and instead showed us a video with route instructions before sending us on our way. Determined to find the app, we stopped by GoCar, where they provided a QR code to download it. The turn-by-turn directions and engaging commentary brought the entire ride to life, highlighting landmarks and history we’d have otherwise missed. I also felt it helped me stay on the correct route on my journey. We stopped for lunch in Sausalito at The Joinery, a spot recommended in the app, which had delicious food and a great beer selection. We were able to get a free drink with our meal with our bike reservation. On the ferry ride back, we got some more beautiful views from a different perspective which was awesome. The whole day was an absolute blast – incredible views, a fun and seamless ride, and plenty of memorable moments. Just make sure to ask around for the GPS tour app – it was the secret ingredient that took this experience to the next level! If you’re looking for a unique way to explore the city, I can’t recommend this enough.

Wow, I don't even know where to start! So thrilled you enjoyed your ride and especially that you love the GPS tour app. We have just recently started using it ourselves, and we LOVE it, too. Thanks for the great recommendation and come visit us again anytime.
