We got picked up from our hotel about 25 minutes late, in a very bumpy rattly miniature-bus type vehicle, and taken to the yard that houses all of their tour busses. We were assigned to a bus and took our seats, where shortly after a fellow adventurer started freaking out that there was no hand sanitizer in the restroom and started making a scene because she was told there's nothing they can do about it. They eventually found a bottle and put it in the bathroom, they took role, and we were on our way! The bus was very nice -- much nicer than I was expecting! Clean, smelled good, even the tires were shined up. Sweet ride! Oh and the breakfast they gave us upon boarding the bus was very generous; that was a nice touch. So we were now on our way to the Hoover Dam. It didn't take long to find out that our bus might have an issue with the transmission or something because every time the driver would get off the gas a little bit, you're going back and forth in your seat making me sort of nauseous. We stopped at the Dam for pictures, restroom break, and bus exchange. I prefered the first bus as it was nicer, but this one seemed to do the trick so off we were once again. Be advised though, neither bus had cup holders so you're on your own for handling your drinks. We made several pit stops along the way to the Grand Canyon and also along Route 66 for pictures and souvenir shopping. At one point along the journey, the bus driver was passing someone and damn near clipped their front bumper as she swerved the bus back into the right-most lane of the road, freaking out everyone in the back of the bus. It didn't appear to be windy outside, but for some reason our bus was all over the roadway still, swaying side to side which was quite annoying. On a stop along the way, we were told to grab our lunches and waters from the storage compartment on the side of the bus, and later on when we all boarded again, a few people complained that their lunches got taken. The driver said that she was supposed to hand out the lunches, contradicting her instructions to grab your lunch. After all that was said and done, they put on movies the rest of the way, and we finally arrived at the Canyon which we explored on our own for about 3 hours. On the way back, we once again made pit stops for restroom breaks and enjoyed movies. Throughout the trip, our driver was very informative about Vegas and the surrounding areas, giving advice about its history, must-sees, and what all the city had to offer. The lady knew her stuff! All-in-all, it was a good trip, totally worth the money, there were just several minor hiccups that were irritating. We still had a great time, and we'd do it all again.

Last Friday, approximately 6:30 AM, Sweetours picked me up from my hotel lobby for my Grand Canyon South Rim tour, Wally was the tour guide. He took us (tour group) to the Hoover Dam, which was brief and lovely, a TA Rest Stop twice, where the food was old/stale and the prices were exorbitant. He took us to another gas station, and a stop along route 66, were he encouraged us to take pictures with a 'Cowboy' while holding his shot gun, which was an utter waste of time, and last we arrived at the Grand Canyon. This tour was nearly 14 hours but we ONLY spent 3 hours at the Canyon. We spent an additional 3+ hours on BS like stopping to see a 'Cowboy' and stopping for a travel center/rest stop which sells expired and unconsciously priced snacks. Approximately 10PM, we finally arrived 'at' my hotel or I should say my hotel's proximity. I was so exhausted and half-asleep, so I handed Wally a $5 tip, because you're supposed to tip tour guides. I tipped not because I believe he provided exceptional guide Services, because I don't believe he provided satisfactory guide services, but that is what you're supposed to do. Out of my sleep, I stepped off the tour bus, I immediately realized that he dropped me off on a dark backroad street, I informed Wally that was not where I was supposed to be dropped off and that was not my hotel lobby's door. I informed him the tour stated that he would pick me up and drop me off at the same location, my hotel lobby's door. It was 10:00 at night and he dropped me off at a dark empty street in Las Vegas. Wally informed me that I needed to walk down the street a couple of blocks, because he passed up my hotel, he then proceed to close a door and drove away. It was a dark road, behind all the hotels, and I'm a 5'1 woman, so I'm not very tall and I was alone, exhausted and petrified. As I walked down this street, in the black of night, I heard strange and scary noises, but I kept my eyes straight ahead, and prayed that I would arrive safely to my hotel...and with the grace of God, I finally did. Once in my hotel room, I immediately called Sweetours to tell them what happened, but the lady who answered the phone, didn't seem concerned, she simply told me to call back and file complaint. I informed her that I had an early flight the next morning but I would definitely write a review and please have management please contact me, but that didn't happen. Wally was horrific, he did not do as the tour stated, which was pick me up and return me to and from my hotel lobby. The tour was 14 hours, yet we ONLY SPENT 3 hours AT THE GRAND CANYON, which was not sufficient time to truly hike or enjoy the splendors and beauty of the Grand Canyon. I rate this tour 0.5 stars, but since that is not possible, 1 star. In my opinion if you decide to book this tour, and Wally is your tour guide, you may find yourself in grave danger, walking down a dark alley in Las Vegas at 10:00 at night, trying to find your hotel room. ******* Cautionary Tale *******

We had debated going to the West Rim due to the length of time the drive from Reno would take. So glad we chose the South Rim. The views are breath taking. Our tour guide Alfonza was incredible. He took various pictures of us from angles we never would have thought and the tour we took stayed for the sunset...incredible! We used Grand Adventures Tours, Grand Canyon Sunset Tour (Summer) Ask for Alfonza!
