Not a luxury bus! Shuttle bus, packed in like sardines! Would be terrible views!. Not enough to fill touring bus so they get you on and you are stuck. Unless you keep asking the same question. I asked if shuttle was taking us to touring bus. No, this is the bus. Not what I signed up for and paid for 10 hour tour. He waa late, waited, and glad I asked several times about the bus. I got off the bus. I did get a photo of one of the buses we were suppose to be on. Four in my group took the tour and saw other buses. Ten hours crammed on a shuttle bus. Flying is less painful. If you pay for touring bus and they put you on shuttle, they aren't taking you too the ride you paid for, but they are taking you on a bad shuttle ride for premium price. Beware!!!!!

Dear Ralstonlove,
Thank you for being a Gray Line customer and we are sorry that we missed your sightseeing expectations.
Our Grand Canyon tours normally due use a full size motor coach, however as with all transportation companies we do reserve the right to substitute equipment based upon operational imperatives.
The term "operational imperative" can cover a lot of ground, including the subject of sustainability. As part of a global organization we understand that we a responsibility to the planet to act in a responsible manner. A full size coach that is only 1/3 full uses more than 3 times the fuel, with 3 times the emissions, as the smaller coach you were on. As all of our tours go to ecologically vulnerable areas, these are important considerations.
Another great benefit of using a smaller coach it that it allows much greater interaction between our guests and our driver/guides, while offering faster disembarking and loading at stops which results in a faster transit time to the West Rim from Las Vegas. The process of having guests get on a 54 passenger full size coach does take quite a bit of time, so most guests find the smaller coach makes for a much better experience.
In closing, I do want to apologize again for missing your expectations, and I want to wish you all the best in your future travel experiences.
Sincerely,
Zachary
