The Amazing Acrobats of Shanghai show would be amazing to anyone that had not seen the Amazing Acrobats of China show I saw in Branson back in 2003. However, since I had seen that 2003 show, I found the Shanghai Acrobats to be good and entertaining, but not to the level of the 2003 show. The Shanghai Acrobats did many of the same acrobatic, contortionist and balancing tricks I saw in the 2003 Amazing Acrobats of China show, but at a lesser level of difficulty. As one of many examples, in the Shanghai Acrobats show a woman balanced a single table on her foot. In the 2003 China Acrobats show, a man balanced 20 sawhorses on his head. Further, the 2003 China Acrobats show was flawless, but the Shanghai Acrobats dropped a few items during juggling segments of the show. Please note that I have not seen the Amazing Acrobats of China show that is also currently running in Branson and cannot comment on how it would compare to the 2003 show of the same name.

This was another Branson show that we weren't prepared for....but we loved it. There's a lotta 'Wow' moments delivered by some of the most skilled, self-assured acrobats I've seen on stage, or even on television. Surprisingly, most of the performers are younger than expected, mostly in their early teens, possibly even younger. All of the acts demonstrate amazing skill and physical grace, too. The performances will likely leave you spent, like us. For almost two hours we applauded--when we weren't pulling up our dropped jaws. Excellent Show.

We caught this show 8:30 on a Monday evening, finding it entertaining but, slow paced. It was nice to see the amazing feats that these people were able to do. An hour show, then a 15 minute intermission, followed by another 45 minutes to an hour. Followed by a meet & greet & photo opportunity in the lobby. Am I happy that I seen this? Yes. Will I see them, again? Probably not
