This was one of the most perfect days of our week long road trip through Wyoming and Idaho! Nate was our guide and picked us up before the sunrise, provided breakfast and headed into GTNP on a quest to see the morning moose! And we did...as we drove through the Gross Ventre we saw several moose from quite a distance and then we saw one bull moose who was so majestic and just beyond the 25 foot distance (Nate kept backing us up to ensure we stayed a safe distance!). I'll never forget seeing that moose as the sun rose over the creek. With such an early start, breakfast was appreciated, as our hotel wasn't serving breakfast yet! We also had an amazing picnic lunch at the summit of Signal Mountain--gorgeous views, entertaining company and really good food! We enjoyed the quick stop at the Mormon Row and had a lot of fun at the Jenny Lake Stop--the views on the boat ride were absolutely stunning and the hike to Hidden Falls, while challenging, was worth it! We also enjoyed getting a few minutes to shop in the gift shop and chat with the park rangers. Nate was a perfect guide--knowledgeable about both the park and the wildlife. He was entertaining and we so appreciated his flexibility (we are big national park geeks and wanted to get as many of the GTNP stamps in our passports as possible and Nate beautifully accommodated that for us!). He truly made this a perfect day at Grand Teton National Park!

Seeing the 3 moose/1 calf in Jackson Hole and the bear foraging on the roadside on Signal Mountain. The pick up/return to our hotel is really appreciated.

Our guide Chris was great! He was personable and funny and had tons of great stories to share. We saw many highlights of the park and learned about their history. Best of all, Chris made suggestions for places to come back and hike on our own and his suggestion of Cascade Canyon was spot on (thank you Chris!). This trip is perfect if you want to see the highlights of this beautiful park without worrying about navigating the traffic and crowds on your own!
