  • The minimum age for wildlife safaris is 8 years old. (Private safaris have no age minimum.)
  • For groups of 14 guests or less: We have a 48-hour cancellation policy for all single day safaris and a 14-day cancellation policy for all 2-3 day safaris. For multi-day safaris of 4 days or more, we have a 30-day cancellation policy. Cancellations made before the policy goes into effect will receive a full refund with no penalty. Cancellations made within the cancellation policy period will not be refunded. For groups of 15 or more guests: We have a 30-day cancellation policy. Cancellations made before the policy goes into effect will receive a refund minus a 10% fee. Cancellations made within the cancellation policy period will not be refunded. We highly recommend obtaining travel insurance before your departure to protect you from incurring any costs associated with unforeseen circumstances that prevent you from joining us.

The tour starts out at 6:30 AM. We were picked up at our hotel. We head straight out at dawn tracking down wildlife. This morning there was a great deal of mist hanging over the area, which made it difficult for photos but we quickly spotted a bull Elk in the mist.Dave works really hard to get you to the spots that have wildlife. At the end of the day we had seen a black bear, Moose, Elk, Prong Horn and Bison. Not to mention the scenery. Wow! Another great trip by JH Wildlife Safaris.

Wonderful tour. Learned so much from our guide, Grant. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and carefully pointed out wildlife as we went along. In areas where we weren't able find wildlife, we went back the next day and found the bears that we hadn't been able to see the day before. He was also helpful in pointing out great photo ops, and gave us ideas for good times of day to catch particular spots. Well worth the trip.
