I came across Scott's Pizza Tour in a guide book and since it was highly recommended, I decided to give the cross town tour a try. And it was absolutely fantastic and now I understand how it's possible that even locals would be interested in this tour - in our group there were several native New Yorkers! We visited 3 pizza places (and all within an easy walking distance of each other) and whilst the pizza was different in style and taste at each place, they were all exceptional. Our tour guide, Peter, did an amazing job explaining the history of pizza in NYC, the different styles of pizza and the importance of the dough and the oven to what comes out of the oven. He is clearly a true pizza aficionado and he kept us all interested and entertained! The pizza oven at Lombardi's was a highlight - I have never seen anything quite like it before.

My family and I had an incredible time on this tour! It was entertaining, a great learning experience, and wonderfully intimate due to the small size of our group. Miriam was our guide. She was energetic, fun, and very friendly! Awesome with the kids and very funny with the adults too! It was nice to walk, talk, eat, and drink all in the course of about 2 hours. All in all, I was very impressed!

Peter, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and he really has a true passion for his city... and pizza! We learned a great deal about the history of NYC, it's culture, it's immigrants and for sure, about pizza. The tour might look expensive at first but it's worth it. It's a great way to explore the city, get to know a friendly local, learn more about cooking pizza and the most famous pizza places. I totally recommend this tour!
