Booked a trip last minute on the advise given from the front desk person at our hotel. Such an amazing experience. Dan, you are the best capitan I can imagine! We saw 3 pods of whales in 3 + hours of being out on the water. My only regret is that I didn't bring my camera with us. The boat is very well appointed and sturdy. I have suffered from sea sickness before but was totally comfortable on The Orcas Express! Thank you Eclipse Charters!

My husband and I had been planning our trip to Orca's Island for almost a year and for at least 9 months of that time I was trying to decide which whale watching tour would be the best. After much reading and research we chose Eclipse and I feel confident in saying I chose the best. The boat is not too big nor is it too small, they only take a certain amount of people on the boat so there is plenty of room to move around, get good shots and be comfortable. The staff is AMAZING and so knowledgeable. They made a point of speaking to everyone and answering any questions we about whales and other wildlife. I was able to see some of the other companies that offer the tours while we were on the water and some of those boats are huge and seemed packed with people and then there are those that are so small you cant even stand up to get a good photo. I was so pleased with Eclipse Charters and highly recommend that everyone who visits the San Juan Islands to take this beautiful whale watching tour.

Of all the whale watching trips we've been on, this was by far the best. Captain Dan and his helpers made this trip an unforgettable one. Before we left the dock, he talked about the whales. There's actually a female, Granny, who's 100 years old. The boat was a comfortable size with room enough to move around, but small enough that you could always spot the whale the Captain pointed out. We brought sandwiches onboard so the trays in front our seats were very convenient and prevented a messy dining situation. Also, Eclipse provided binoculars, information about the Orcas and someone always answered questions. All in all, it was a very exciting afternoon. We were gone a total of 3 1/2 hours.
